Dr. Thomas Fliedner
Dr. Thomas Fliedner has over 30 years of experience in women’s health care. Originally from New Jersey where he attended medical school, he is proud now to be a Texan. He attended undergraduate school in North Carolina where he has family roots and completed residency at UT Southwestern Parkland Memorial Hospital in 1995.
He found his passion for women’s health in medical school while working with challenging high-risk pregnancies in order to deliver a healthy baby. By taking the extra time to truly listen to the concerns of each patient, he is able to address burdensome health issues and restore wellness. In addition to his work at North Texas Vitality, he cares for women at North Texas Ob-Gyn Associates.
Dr. Fliedner’s goal is simple – your best health. By working together, he and his patients find the best solution to address their issues. Additionally, he has mastered minimally invasive robotic surgery which results in quicker recovery and less pain for his patients. It is very important to Dr. Fliedner that he utilizes the most current and effective methods and techniques when treating his patients.
His loyal patients have continued to see Dr. Fliedner as their lives transition from one phase to another. He is experienced with the many phases of women’s health from the challenges of infertility to lost vitality. While working through these phases with his patients he has used many successful treatment approaches to restore health. He loves helping his patients enjoy wellness and optimal health.
Dr. Fliedner is passionate about refining his skills, increasing his knowledge, and sharing that knowledge with his colleagues. He is known for his work teaching his peers the skill of performing minimally invasive robotic surgery and his ongoing mentoring of nurse practitioner students.
Dr. Fliedner has lived in Flower Mound for over 20 years and has enjoyed watching the community grow. His supportive wife, Delia, is also in healthcare and owns a senior home care agency. He is very proud of his adult children Paul, Jillian, and Hope. Dr. Fliedner is involved with the Lewisville and Flower Mound hospitals. He has served as the Ob/Gyn Department Chair at MCL and is currently serving on the credentialing committees at both hospitals.
